Are there different types of therapy?

There are so many different types of therapy! Our therapists can provide various therapies including but not limited to:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Various Group Therapies

  • Play Therapy

What is confidentiality in therapy?

In therapy, trust is so important! Without trust, therapy will be unproductive. When you receive our intake paperwork it will include our policies on confidentiality as well as HIPAA laws. These laws require therapists to maintain confidentiality except in certain situations, including:

  • if the therapist has reason to believe the client is in danger of harming themselves or has threatened to harm another person

  • if the therapist has reason to believe the client has been the victim, perpetrator or witness of emotional, physical or sexual abuse of a child under the age of 18

  • if the therapist has reason to believe the client is being neglected

  • if a court of law issues a court order for information gained during therapy.

In Pennsylvania, the age for consent is 14. Any client 14 years of age or older has the right to confidentiality in therapy.

.

Do you take insurance?

For Therapy: We are considered an out-of-network provider. This means we do not participate with insurance companies; however, we are able to provide you with the information necessary (a receipt called a Superbill) for you to submit to your insurance company directly. Depending on your plan, your insurance company may reimburse you directly for an out-of-network provider. We cannot guarantee that you will get reimbursed, and we strongly encourage you to check on your benefits so there are no surprises. Click here for some tips on checking your benefits.

Check with your individual therapist if they offer a reduced fee option.

Please Note: Our Life Coaching Services do not qualify for reimbursement from insurance!

Do I need a good faith estimate?

Beginning in January 2022, the No Surprises Act was implemented to protect you from surprise medical costs. Providers are required to provide you with an estimate of costs for their services prior to your first appointment. You can find your Good Faith Estimate with your intake paperwork sent to you via your client portal prior to your first appointment. Click here for the Good Faith Estimate Disclaimer.
